This pullover is made with a moratronic diamond knit which is different than a classic quilting stitch—the benefit is that unlike quilted styles that might lose a thread over the years, this will keep it's pattern forever. Johnnie-O used alcantara performance suede details on the placket which is machine washable and what they used for upholstery in high end sports cars.
